Gp Benefit 18

The Source

They say that the proof is in the pudding so on Saturday, March 3rd at 7 p.m. the various entertainers and staff of the Green Pastures Performing Arts Camp will be performing. The campground’s annual fundraiser will feature musicians, actors, and dancers from the camp’s various programs in addition to the Two by Two gospel quartet. Ken Bradbury will serve as host for the evening that includes improvisational comedy, gospel music, two of the areas finest pianists: Brock Gwaltney and Caleb Holaway, plus a demonstration of modern dance by the camp counselors. “We only charge out campers about half the cost of running the camp,” said Bradbury. “This annual fundraiser goes a long way in sending kids to summer camp.” Bradbury adds that it’s an enjoyable way to give to the cause. “It’s quite an entertaining evening,” he said. Wes Hendricker, a member of the Two by Two gospel group and a member of the Green Pastures governing board said that the benefit concerts over the past few years have been remarkable. “We were blown away by the turnout and generosity the first time we tried this and the response has only grown over the years,” he said. A freewill donation will be accepted for the March 3rd concert.
