Ellie and God Weekend 3 performance 2

Ellie: Hey God God: Hey, How’s it going? Ellie: Wonderful as ever! God: Good. That’s how I planned it. Ellie: But God…. God: Yes? Ellie: I’ve got a question God: What’s up? Ellie: If you know everything, does that mean you know all the bad things about people too? God: Yes Ellie: Oh… God: What’s wrong? Ellie: How can you love a part of you, like me? I’ve done wrong things in life and you’re probably very disappointed in me and… God: . . .You told your Mom you took out the trash. Ellie: You knew that. God: That’s what happens when you talk to God. And you hadn’t taken it out. And when she asked you if you’d walked the dog. . . ? Ellie: I don’t like where this is going. God: And when you sister Jenny annoyed you, you said. . . Ellie: Okay! Stop! Stop! I guess you do know. God: Everyone sins, Ellie. You do things that you know are wrong, and I know all about them. That means you have this disease. Ellie: Disease? God: Yeah. It’s called being human. But I have a cure. . .Ask (pick someone) ______. Huh? Ellie: _______ has a message for you. COUNSELOR 1: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1st John 1:9 God: And ______ has something, too. COUNSELOR 2: “Their sins I will remember no more.” Hebrews 10:17 Ellie: You know, that makes me feel guilty. You’re a part of me and I’m a part of you, but I if that’s so, then why can’t I feel that kind of grace? Like that kid who used to make fun of me and made up stories about me? God: I think that ________ has the answer. Ellie: _________? COUNSELOR 3: From Matthew. . “For if you forgive other people when they sing against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” God: Is this making sense? Ellie: Yeah. . .and I don’t even know what to call it. God: How about. . . “Grace.” Ellie: Grace. God: Has a nice ring to it, don’t you think? Ellie: Yeah . . . I like that. I like that very much God: So . . .Who are you, Ellie? Ellie: I guess if I keep talking to you. . God: Yeah? Ellie: Then I’ll be more like you. God: Did I ever tell you that I love you? Ellie: And I love you, Lord. (exit) -------- I’ve combined your ideas from 1 and 2, then added a whole new number three. I’d like to put the emphasis on the final altar in number 3 as you’ll see when you read it. Sorry, but I’m a heavy editor. . . too many years as a teacher of writing. Hey, I think we have some great ones. Nice work and I hope these changes are okay with you.
