Ellie: Hey God! God: Hi Ellie. Ellie: I’m having a great time at camp. God: I know. I can feel it! Ellie: All the performances and the energy… they just blow me away. God: Me too. ( pause) You wanna know what’s even better than the performances? Ellie: What’s that? God: The people who do them. Ellie: You’re so right God. I can remember so many cool people who’ve gotten to be a part of my life here. And not just counselors, but campers too God: How so? Ellie: Like (tells about a camper in the audience that has been there several years and how they’ve grown up. It will end with ‘isn’t that neat, Lord?” God: Sure is. You’ve watched them grow up a little, haven’t you? Ellie: For sure. But God, you’ve seen us all grow, Haven’t you? God: That’s right. That’s one of my favorite parts of being the big guy up here. People come and got in this camp. Voices get deeper, Campers grow taller than counselors, and minds get wiser. Ellie: It’s hard watching people change, Lord. It’s hard when things aren’t as we first remembered it. God: I know it’s hard, but we should enjoy they time we do have. (Pause) But there’s one thing that will never change. Ellie: You? God: You’ve got it girl. I’ve been around for a long time, and trust me, I’m not going anywhere.
