TRAVIS: Well…here we are, Lord. Seems like we just get to PAC and the end is coming up.

GOD: Really?

TRAVIS: Yeah. Camp’s nearly over. No more talks with you…I mean, yeah, I can pray …and I will…but it just seems so much more personal out here.

GOD: If you say so.

TRAVIS: I ..uh…I take it you don't agree.

GOD: Prayer? It’s whatever you choose to make it.

TRAVIS: You know what I’m saying, Lord. Here at camp it’s so easy…I can hear you so much clearer. You voice is …it’s just like it’s right beside me. But I leave…you know… it’s hard to hear you.

GOD: Maybe you’re listening to the wrong things. Maybe you’re in the wrong places.

TRAVIS: That sounds like me alright.

GOD: I’ve got a good friend sitting out there tonight. He leaves camp so in love with me, wanting to serve me…then he stops reading his Bible, he stops going to church…And this girl…she’s one of my favorites. She’s been performing for the Lord all weekend and next weekend she’ll be attending a party where she’ll forget about me completely. And both of them…both of them wonder why I’ve let them down.

TRAVIS: (a long beat, then) Those stories, Lord…those people. They’re familiar. Too familiar.

GOD: It doesn’t have to be that way. …. That…that distance.

TRAVIS: But sometimes, Lord…and it just breaks my heart to say this…sometimes I just can’t …I just can’t get across that gap… From who I am ….and who I want to be…for you.

GOD: I know. That’s why I’ve filled that gap, Travis… that…that hole between who you are and who I am..

TRAVIS: You have?

GOD: And it cost me a lot….my own son.

HOPE: (begins singing “Grace Like Rain”…standing at the back of the crowd or standing in place) Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me (ADD MARIA) I once was lost but now I'm found
Was blind but now I see so clearly (ADD HANNAH)
Hallelujah, grace like rain falls down on me
Hallelujah, all my stains are washed away, washed away

GOD: The gap’s been filled, Trav. It’s called Grace…It’s called Christ.

HOPE, HANNAH, LAURA: 'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
(TRAVIS JOINS IN) How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed

Hallelujah, grace like rain falls down on me
Hallelujah, all my stains are washed away, washed away

TRAVIS: (to the audience) Please take somebody’s hand…sing with me… believe with me.

ALL: When we've been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun
We've no less days to sing Your praise
Than when we first begun

Hallelujah, grace like rain falls down on me
Hallelujah, all my stains are washed away, washed away
