TRAVIS: (entering) Hey God?

GOD: Hi Trav.

TRAVIS: God. You ever make mistakes?

GOD: Look, Nick and Sam are doing a good job this weekend.

TRAVIS: No, I mean do you just totally make a mistake?

GOD: What's bothering you, Trav?

TRAVIS: I was doin' this dance downstairs...

GOD: Yea?

TRAVIS: I was trying real hard but I just couldn't get it. Then I turned around and this guy was laughing at me. So I told him....(he stops)

GOD: You told him what?

TRAVIS: I .... do I have to say?

GOD: No. I heard it, too.

TRAVIS: Then I told him I was sorry and he said that was okay.

GOD: And you told me you were sorry and I forgave you. So what's you're problem?

TRAVIS: There's one guy who hasn't forgiven me yet.

GOD: And.....?

TRAVIS: And that's me. You knew that, right?

GOD: I knew that.

TRAVIS: So... I mean, how do I do it? How do I forgive myself when I make a mistake like that? I've tired and I've tried but I can't forget what I...

GOD: What?

TRAVIS: I said I can't forget what I...

GOD: Of course you can't. I didn't ask you to forget it...even though you will. All you have to do is forgive yourself. Don't worry about forgetting it. Can we be ...uh...honest?

TRAVIS: Gosh, I hope so. You're God.

GOD: I know. If you refuse to forgive yourself you're being...well.. selfish. Your whole mind's on yourself instead of the person you hurt. Face it, Trav. You're spoiled.

TRAVIS: Wow. I guess I am. I never thought of it that way. That's some really good advice. (laughs) Will you send me a bill?

GOD: Too late....my son already paid it.

TRAVIS: Boy you're smart. I'm glad I'm not God.

GOD: Me too.

TRAVIS: (a beat, then) Thanks, Lord. You know...if I didn't have you to talk to about all this stuff.....

GOD: Travis, if you think I'm ever going to quit talking to you, you're crazy. And Trav...

TRAVIS: Yea, Lord?

GOD: Since we're talking about forgiveness...

TRAVIS: Yea?

GOD: Give Sam and Nick a break. (Travis smiles and leaves.)
