The Bystanders — Pike County Tour

In the spring of 2025, the Ken Bradbury Foundation brought Ken's musical The Bystanders home to Pike County, Illinois — performing it in Perry, Griggsville, and Pittsfield over a single Sunday.

The shows were warmly received. As the Foundation reported afterward, there were "lots of familiar faces — family included — and lots of Bradbury stories were shared by the audience members." Free-will donations from the performances went to the Foundation (after the cast was treated to lunch in Pittsfield) to support its work funding future stagings of Ken's work and local youth and theatre organizations.

The Pike County tour was also a small act of preservation: The Bystanders had survived in the archive mostly as a set of 2008 demo recordings, and the Foundation's own performance script was rediscovered in the lead-up to these shows.
