Bye Bye Birdie

1974 · Triopia High School

Triopia High School staged the beloved musical comedy Bye Bye Birdie in 1974 — one of Ken Bradbury's early productions at the school. With music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Lee Adams, and a book by Michael Stewart, the show satirizes 1950s America as teen idol Conrad Birdie is drafted into the Army and his manager arranges one last televised kiss for a lucky fan in small-town Ohio.
