1981 · Triopia High School

1958 was one of Ken Bradbury's original full-length musicals, written while he was teaching at Triopia and presented at Triopia High School. Set in the year of its title, the show centered on a "nerd" and a "stud" — played by the Hooker brothers — and turned on a fateful midnight motorcycle ride. After the crash, the fallen Jerry was carried in Tim Hatfield's arms up through the center aisle, a moment Ken remembered as one of the most touching scenes in Triopia High School theatre history.

Ken wrote 1958 alongside his other original Triopia musicals, Burgoo and Captain Jack Bailey's All-Star Country-Western Circus.

One of the most touching scenes in THS theatre: Tim Hatfield carried the fallen Jerry in his arms up through the center aisle after their fateful midnight motorcycle ride.
During the run, someone spiked Eric Schnitker's punch.
The leading lady had to be dubbed in due to laryngitis.
