The Town Brook Play
2014 · Lincoln Land Community College
The Town Brook Play was one of two touring shows that Ken Bradbury's Lincoln Land Community College theatre class staged in the spring (second) semester. Devised by Ken's students under his direction, the play told the story of the Town Brook in Jacksonville, Illinois. In an inquiry note to his class, Ken described the upcoming semester's work: "We also be doing two shows next semester…the one about the Town Brook in Jacksonville, and a second show that's sort of a companion piece to the play we did at Knollwood last year." That companion piece became the "Grandpa" play, following the previous year's "Grandma" show.
The surviving material for this production in the class folder is thin — the show appears only in the semester schedules and in Ken's inquiry note. No script or program for the play was preserved alongside the schedules.
