9:00- 9:15 am- Pull your limousine up to the front door of the Radisson, walk the red carpet into the studio as your chauffer parks, and get registered for a Day at the Movies courtesy of the IESA Speech Advistory Committee.
9:15- 9:25 am- Cecil B. DeMille’s ex-makeup girl, Nicole HYPERLINK "http://webmail.creativeideas.com/horde/imp/message.php?index=4426" Schaefbauer gets the cameras rolling as we talk about the day’s shooting schedule.
9:25- 10:00 am- 2006, A Storytelling Odyssey! What better to start off a movie day than by introducing the newest IESA event, Storytelling! Godfather Ken Bradbury will introduce the state’s premier storyteller, Brian “Fox” Ellis who’ll give us the director’s eye view of this exciting new event.
10:00- 10:05 am- Cut! Cut! Cut! Time for makeup, costume adjustment, or simply going to the restroom.
10:05- 10:50 am- Reel I Star Wars Episode VI… The Small Groups and Duets Strike Back! Directed capably by those darlings of the silver screen, Cheri Semelroth and Cindy Bracket.
Saving Private Ryan from Dullness Blocking The Spielberg of blocking, Tim Chipman, will show you all the right angles to make regular stuntmen out of your actors.
10:50- 10:55 am- Cut! Ran out of film! Time to powder that nose again!
10:55- 11:45- Reel II Enter the intriguing Matrix of Chorale Presentation with your mystical guide, Judy Nebgen Psycho!...or “I’m Hosting a contest? The how-to’s of hosting will be scripted, rehearsed, and shot by Kathy “Hitchcock” Litherland
10:05- 11:45- Reel III The Raiders of the Lost (New) Coaches- Indiana Bradbury and Archeologist Roberta Neumann will lead the new instructors toward the Holy Grail of speech work…Getting them started!
11:50- 12:50 Life is Like a Box of Chocolate…or at least lunch. Each cast (contest area) will be assigned a table where you can chew on our delicious repast and discuss your area’s contest production.
12:50- 3:00- And Now for Our Featured Presentation! Something a bit new this year as students from around the state perform contests selections and their instructors give us the inside scoop on how it’s done.
