Welcome to the IESA Matrix of Scholastic Bowl Coaches and plug in to a great day of networking with some of the state’s finest Scholastic Geeks.

8:45 – 9:30 am- Line up to register and give your cell phone a rest, baby. You’ll get enough data today to last your team an entire season.

9:30- 10:45 am- Steve Jobs being currently unavailable, our fearless leader __________ will lay out today’s matrix and hook up your interface for the day’s activities.

10:45 - 10:50 am- Hey! Let’s take five to give your batteries a break!

10:50 - 11:50 am- Level I • We start off today with a Demo Match & Logistics discussion that’ll leave you all a-Twitter, hosted by the Queen of Silicon Valley, Ann Sullivan. • And here you’ll get a chance to start jammin’ with the Slam-in Virtual League as Jeff Price of Barrington Station and Victor Kluck of Slammer Systems.

11:50- 12:55 pm- Time to give your Pint-A-Rest as we gather to enjoy some of the Doubletree’s finest cuisine.

1:00 - 2:00 am- Level II • Any good programmer knows that you need the right schematic to insure your team’s this season so we’ve hired Jack Small to give us the ultimate interpretation of the rules. This is how you move on up to the next level. • Your desktop of competition may need a bit of organizing. Sit in amazement as PORTA’s Mark Grant shows you how to put your icons on order. • This weirdly wired world of Scholastic Bowl can be bewildering without a little help from the old pro’s at the game. Mike Hurley of Questions Galore will gently guide our newbie coaches through the labyrinth of study tips.

2:00 - 2:05pm- Does your Facebook page need some refreshing? Here’s your chance! Make a dash for it before you’re timed out.

2:05- 3:05 pm- Level III…The Ultimate Challenge! No need to consult You Tube to download the latest in Language/Fine Arts and Geography/Social Studies strategies. Suzanne Pettyjohn of Rochester has all the data you need to help your team parse a verb and find Pakistan on a map. • Any chat room needs a moderator and Jack Small will return to lead the chat regarding Moderator Training. • Your motherboard of team rehearsals crashed! Who you gonna call? Marian Cash and Carolee Hicks of Paris Crestwood to the rescue! Appearing live without benefit of hologram, these two experts on team organization will set your files in order, clean up your spam of confused young scholars, and all with a smile that would make Bill Gates giggle.
