Mother’s Day at Asbury… I assume it’s always Mother’s Day here… Like play b’ball at Perry…always Homecoming

A day we think of the women in our life…those who’ve prayed for us and set an example of Christ. Brenda: Asbury. “The women in my life.” “I wanna hear that.”

Trouble is, I’m a teacher..for 31 years. Too long. I no longer have a mind of my own. I see everything through their eyes. This is not Mother’s Day for so many. Quest class. 21 7th-graders. 2: mother died. 7 divorced. 2 mothers not even in state. Out of 21. Never was their a generation who needed Christ more..not because they’re the most evil generation, but for so many, that’s all they have. We must extend the meaning of the word Motherhood…to all of us who have contact with youth. Little Boy Lost

An announcement. You have nothing more important to do this week than lead a child to Christ. Only Saints

One of the strongest lessons Mom taught me. Stop whining. It’ll get better. Think of it! How profound! How many of your co-workers..family members. Isn’t that the entire scriptures summed up? Stop whining. I’m with you. Hang On

Our LWM. A proposal for the United Methodist Church… give all clergy a year’s sabbatical. Send an army of senior saints around the nation in minivans. Be my best Bible
