Hi everyone, Thanks to all of you we are going to have a wonderful evening.

The concert will be on Saturday 11/10/07. It will start at 7:00PM in the Rammelkamp Chapel on the Illinois College Campus.

The stars of the evening are Ken Bradbury as MC, Ann Marie Stahel as Accompanist, John and Stephanie -Smith Wilkey, The Gospel Gals led by Lois Kording and Marcia Forman, Kathy Seymour, Nathan, Carrie and Parker Carls known as The upStandard Citizens, John Hume, Tiffany Williams, Rod Nicholson, Brock Gwaltney, Laura Young and her sisters Sarah and Amy Fleck,Cathy Doyle, Joel Tinsley and The Four Sopranos led by Tracie Shaw and Paula Irby. You will be well supported by the expertise of George and Mary Westenberger and their excellent sound system.

The program consists 12 individual or groups of  musicians each having approximately a 10 minute segment. There will a ten minute intermission. Feel free to invite another musician to perform with you.

As suggested by Ann Marie it would be nice to honor  Veterans during the course of the concert. The following day is Veterans Day. Ken, at the beginning of the program would you please thank the veterans in the audience for their service and ask them to stand and be recognized? Musicians, would you please sing or play at least one song you consider appropriate. Any ideas you have would be welcome.

Stephanie will prepare the master program so please forward your program to her as soon as possible. To prevent a lot of duplication of songs she may have to contact you regarding another selection. John and Stephanie will be out of town during October. Stephanie- Lois Kording has requested The Gospel Gals be 2nd. or 3rd. in the line up. Laura Young has requested she and her sisters be near the end.

For
some reasoon, we did not receive the first email Sam
sent out so we are a little late getting in our info. 
Brock is 14 yr. old, and in the 8th grade at Our
Saviour Jr. High. He started playing the piano in the
third grade. He takes piano lessons from Sandra
Carls. Brock is also intrested in composing, and has
recently began taking composition lessons from Mr.
Cris Walters. Brock enjoys sharing his talents by
performing at benifits, fundraisers and local talent
shows. He will be providing the dinner music for the
upcoming Pathway Services gala.
He is planning on playing : The Maple Leaf Rag, by
Scott Joplin (his own interpetation), Battle Hymn of
the Republic, by William Steffe, and his original
composition, Fantasy in A minor. If you need anything

Nothing about upStandard Citizens in the program as they won't be represented as such.  Just something as listed above.

If we have any say at all about timing at this point, I would request somewhere earlier in the program.

Here is some bio info for the Habitat show:

Nathan Carls: Nathan Carls and the upStandard Citizens, swinging the great American standards of the 30's and 40's active in area community theatre cabinet maker in Beardstown

Carrie Carls: sings with NC and the upStandard Citizens Sings with female Christian group, "Higher Degree" heads up the continence program at Passavant Hospital

Parker Carls: sings with NC and the upStandard Citizens Loves playing piano, knitting, volleyball 4th grader at Beardstown Christian Academy

Paula Hill: (piano) also plays piano for Christian group "Higher Degree" director of Virginia Day Care

Rob Killam: (upright bass)  he might come, might not Retired from the state, he is a full-time musician, striving to be the best upright bass from Chicago to St. Louis
