Mom.. Alcatraz… Life is 10% what happens to you. 90% how you react to it.
Never more clear than when I travel with students and adults overseas. Since summer is almost upon us, I thought I might use a few of our adventures to prove the 10 vs. 90% theory.

Beardstown Ladies…Sydney, Australia…The ladies put their 10 vs. 90% theory to wonderful use.

Assissi.. tour guide. Israeli ladies… Life is truly 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.
The nation’s leading architect, Harry Johnstone, (90 years old) said on Charlie Rose some time ago…. “The hottest places in hell are reserved for whiners and complainers. If life were 100 times longer, there would still be no time for negativity.”
Find yourself models of optimism… like Ginny Fanning. Hamilton’s.. Cancer survivor’s banquet.. Man next me. “That lady makes me feel good.” Marie.. Salt and pepper shakers.
