Liberty Church

Old Country churches..our memories are tied in with the hymns… Worship without music..I can’t imagine it. Music has power.. Bagpipes banned.. Singing banned by Roman government. When I play in nursing homes… the power of hymns on unresponsive residents. The memories it brings back in all of us. And this is such a fitting place.
Mansion.. First gospel song I ever learned.. Fishhook Sunday School Convention.
Just a Closer Walk… ... Wake up Sunday mornings to this. Mom used it to warm up. Dad would walk around the house singing…usually a different song. Mom’s music was soothing but it was Dad’s singing that got us up.
What a Friend.. Grandma’s favorite.. South Prairie Church.. Where would Jesus go to Church? How Great Thou Art In The Garden Nice thing about playing alone..you can change the key if you don’t like what you’re doing.. Dad..Maro..car..
Mississippi River Boat……Near the Cross.
Simple things are the best: PAC.. “don’t screw up” prayer. Amazing Grace. Last week voted the number one hymn in a national survey.
Jesus Loves Me.. William B. Bradbury… G’pa, horse thieves. My favorite.. Blessed Assurance
First heard this in an African American church..then most recently with 5th-graders around a campfire..Still the same message: aside from Salvation, the greatest gift God gives us is His peace..… Peace Like a River.
Rick’s Songs Sing-a-long.. Victory in Jesus… An old song but I’d never heard it until our first lay witness. First time I learned it was okay to have a piano jump in church.
