Methodist Ministers and Spouses

Christmas, 2004 Springfield Methodist Center

Christmas songs…but nothing you’ve ever heard before. I wrote them and when I write a song, it becomes unknown in a matter of days.

I envy people like you who have it all together spiritually. Right? My Grandma would talk about asking God for an answer then He would whisper into her ear. I tried it. Didn’t work. Maybe it was because I was doing all the talking. This song is dedicated to all those who are so closely in touch with God that they know His every wish. You make me sick. Bomp Me

The story of Kenny… Chicken Soup for the Soul.. Johnny Brown

The bane of my existence.. When they elect me Bishop….. my first official move will be to put whoopy cushions in all the pews. Juice up the liturgy, drown the dirges, and burn the order of worship on a bonfire of bulletins. (Jesus Dancing) Don’t Nobody

I’ve taught Jr. High for 34 years. I literally see Jesus every day. Every day, in the faces of my students. So many broken families… so many children simply wanting love….. If I could speak to every Illinois teacher.. forget your goals and plans…these kids need to be loved or they won’t learn anything. Years ago…kids in Europe.. two amazing events: Craig and priest Bobby Malone

One of the wishes of my lifetime two weeks ago…got to meet one of my personal heroes. Tony Campolo..not just because he’s bald and obnoxious. …I’ve never been so moved… This one truly is a Christmas song.

What’s it Gonna Take? (Joy to the World)
