Illinois fastest-growning congregation: ___________________, every service starts with rock music, then a play....preacher never wears a tie....Have had to extend their services into Saturday...their 3000-seat auditorium will not hold them all. They believe this is what God wants of them. They are probably right.

I sometimes attend...Lord’s Congregation: the pastor, Brother Krenshaw, gets up at beginning and says, “Is the Lord calling anyone to preach tonight?” He believes this is what the Lord wants. He is probably right.

The Lord did not clear out the Garden of Eden with a flood, and he didn’t ask Noah to avoid feeding apples to the animals on the ark. He didn’t show Joshua how to part the waters and He didn’t teach Moses to play the trumpet. They both felt called by God and they were probably right.

Two friends in the backwoods of Wisconsin...one a Disciples of Christ member...Sunday.. on lake....no bread and wine...twinkies and Dr Pepper. I’ve told this to some people who’ve been greatly shocked. I once put it in a play and got many complaints from my Luterhan brethern. They believed God wanted to commune with them in that way. They were probably right.

My wish New Year’s prayer for you....that you truly open up yourself to God’s spirit by experiencing new and fresh ways to Praise His name.

Alberta asked me to preach then I went to church the next day and heard these three girls sing....they were the sweetest sermon I’d heard in a long time.

Jerry and Becky. the Bible says to pray for your leaders. Do you know how imporant it is to have a State’s attorney who openly proclaims Jesus Christ as His savior? Not a political ad...after all, he’s a Republican.
