Turner IESA
Well, here’s the deal. By now we should have received our packet with instructions for Saturday’s IESA contest at Turner. I hope you have, but to my knowledge no one has. In fact, I’ve only heard by hearsay of who’s judging and if you know someone else who should have this info, please pass it along. I’m the IESA rep for the Turner contest and we have a MANDATORY meeting at 7:30 a.m….somewhere in Turner. Please arrive early enough to be ready to go at 7:30. We’ll have a great deal to cover in a short time at our meeting. Again, I know it’s late in the game, but I urge to read the IESA rules before Saturday morning. Here’s the link: http://www.iesa.org/documents/activities/IESA-SP_JudgeManual.pdf. This is in effect the packet that should have been sent to you ahead of time. Don’t concern yourself with the time limits for each event. As a judge your only responsibility is to time each event then record it on the judge’s sheet. The time violations will be taken care of in the office. We have a new event this year, Team Improv, but I will be judging all of the entries in that event. You’ll most likely have monologs, duets, Improv Duets, and small groups so I direct your attention to those events in the IESA rules. Despite this bit of mixup getting materials, let’s make it a great day for our kids. See you Saturday morning. Ken
